National Campus Week Challenge

Fair Trade Campus Week participants! We know you’re ready to celebrate the fair trade movement and raise awareness about issues surrounding trade justice, but do you have what it takes be our Campus Week All Star?

This year we will select one of our 71 participating campuses to be crowned as the Campus Week All Star. The winner will receive national recognition at the Canadian Fairtrade Awards, an invitation to attend the Awards in Ottawa, and a $500 cash prize to go towards fair trade programming.

Our runner up will receive a year’s worth of Fairtrade Certified chocolate (Yes, we’re sure this isn’t the prize for first place).

The Campus Week All Star will be selected using the following criteria:

Most signatures on the “I want more Fairtrade Products on my Campus” petition.

“But wait, I am a tiny campus! How can I compete against campuses with larger populations?” Don’t worry! We will calculate the percentage of signatures based on your campus’ population.

Most engagement on Twitter or Instagram.

You must use the official Fair Trade Campus Week hashtag #FTCW18 in order for your post to count.

Posts must explicitly be promoting Fair Trade Campus Week 2018 activities and/or Fairtrade products in order to be counted. Spammers will be cast off the island!

Social Media posts can come from official campus accounts OR Campus Week organizers. Students and staff posting about your fair trade activities won’t be counted but you can always retweet/repost (just don’t forget to include #FTCW18).

Twitter and Instagram posts using #FTCW18 will be combined for total number of posts. Sorry, Instagram Stories can’t be included (but you can still share your Campus Week activities in your Stories!).
