Concordia’s got a Sweet Tooth for Fair Trade

Concordia

Concordia became a Fair Trade Campus in 2016 and has since been committed to growing fair trade across campus.

Concordia offers Fairtrade coffee, tea and chocolate in all residence dining halls, non-franchised campus cafés and student-run cafés. It was also the first Canadian campus to offer 100% Fairtrade bananas in food service locations across campus. As their latest commitment to Fairtrade, Concordia Food Services is now also purchasing 100% Fairtrade sugar from Camino, which comes from the Manduvirá Cooperative in Paraguay.
