Suspended Companies

Companies registered with Fairtrade Canada may be suspended for a variety of reasons, including:

• Failure to report transactions involving Fairtrade certified products
• Failure to correct issues identified in a certification audit by an agreed upon deadline
• Failure to correct issues related to misuse of a Fairtrade certification mark
• Delinquency of fee payment

Suspension means a company is not allowed to enter into new contracts for Fairtrade certified products but may fulfill existing contracts.
