Using the Certification Mark
The Fair Trade Certified Mark is your guarantee that a product has been Fair Trade Certified by TransFair Canada. Look for this Mark on products wherever you shop.
The Fair Trade Certified (FTC) Mark is a registered trademark of TransFair Canada. An important part of our work at TransFair is protecting the Mark. We work hard to ensure that there is transparency and accountability behind its use, so that Canadian consumers can trust that products carrying the FTC Mark have been produced and traded following the principles of Fair Trade.
TransFair Canada licenses the FTC Mark for use by companies on packages of Certified products, and to organizations for the promotion, advocacy, or marketing of Fair Trade products in Canada.
The FTC Mark consists of 4 parts:
- A person holding a large basket in each arm, in the foreground
- A globe, in the background
- The English text FAIR TRADE CERTIFIED on a top bar
- The French text CERTIFIÉ ÉQUITABLE on a lower bar
If you would like to use the FTC Mark, please review the Dos and DON’Ts and contact TransFair Canada for permission.
