What's involved?
Most organizations who register with TransFair Canada will become “Licensees”. Licensees may manufacture, process, or package a Fair Trade Certified product for the end consumer and are licensed to use the Mark on those products.
Licensees’ responsibilities include:
- Quarterly reports of sales, purchases, and inventory of FTC products
- Annual reports of purchase and sales details, manufacturing, and other disposals (see TFC Auditing and Reporting policy)
- Paying quarterly license fees based on volumes sold (see How much does it cost?)
- Preparing for audits as scheduled by TransFair Canada
- Compliance with TransFair Canada Standards and Policies
