What is Fair Trade Fortnight?
It's only the best time of the year for anyone who loves Fair Trade and wants to spread it like wildfire throughout Canada! It's when everyone gets together to do fun stuff in support of Fair Trade, from big public events, to special promotions in stores, to quiet efforts at home.
So, because (a) Fair Trade is awesome, and (b) Canada has a brand new (and far prettier) Fairtrade certification mark, we issued a challenge to all Canadians... "we want YOU to get loud and proud about Fair Trade and "Show Off Your Label!" from May 1-15."
How you did that was entirely up to you, but provided some ideas to get you going:
- Host a Fair Trade Breakfast for friends & family? (psst... free prizes!)
- Show off your creative side with our photo contest? (look cool and win big!)
- Pretty up the place with free Fair Trade promotional materials and Fortnight resources? (who doesn't love free stuff?)
Whatever you did, you had to have fun doing it! Also, many of you were good enough to let us know what you got up to by...
